ARC: Laws of Attraction - R.C. Boldt (Teach Me #4)

LawsofAttraction_Amazon
RC Boldt's fourth book in the Teach Me series shows us that sometimes the perfect person for you is the one you least expected it to be ...   Langley Ford is the definition of serious. Going through life as a pararescue jumper, working solely around men, she’s had to go above and beyond to prove she’s their equal. In fact, she can’t recall the last time she allowed herself to truly relax or let her guard down.   Always the one others rely on to crack jokes, the one to liven things up, Lawson Briggs is a fun, easygoing guy who doesn’t take life too seriously. But witnessing so many of his friends falling in love, he begins to wonder what the fuss is about. Will he ever fall prey to that infamous “love bug”?   Langley is now out of the military and working at a security consulting firm. When she meets the tall, bearded teacher who has endless wisecracks and comments, a part of her wishes she could be like him, wishes she could remember how.   While Lawson might be the best person to teach her how to live life to the fullest, will Langley be the one who teaches him all about love?

Review: CAN I SAY ANYTHING ELSE OTHER THAN I LOVE RC BOLDT? LIKE COME ON. HER BOOKS ARE ABSOLUTELY ENTHRALLING AND BEAUTIFUL AND HEART WARMING.

I loved Laws of Attraction because you get a more in depth look into Lawson and his strange sense of humor and how broken Langley is. There love story is all that I want out of life. He only wants to be the person that he needs and wants. He doesn't want another character in her life that can give her what he can give her in plentiful bounds.

We see Lawson's playful background a lot but also his really sexy side when it comes to Langley. He wants her and she wants him. But the Teach Me series does not just stop at Lawson and Lee because we also get a sneak peek with another two characters of the group.

R.C. Boldt makes finding love seem so easy especially when it falls into your friend group. How lovely and I want it so bad.

What other to give this book than the 5 out of 5 stars that she oh so deserves for creating such heartfelt characters.

Laws of Attraction-Teaser 3, RC BOLDT
Exclusive Excerpt: “I should go say hello to Momma K.” He watched as Lee’s lips twitched, eyeing Foster and Noelle, who were engaged in what appeared to be an epic staredown. Again. For like the millionth time. Those two and their heated, sexual tension rivaled the fires of Hades. Waving with a formal air for Lee to walk in front of him, he asked, “Shall we head to the kitchen, ma’am?” She gave him a look. “Really? You’re ma’aming me?” With a cocky grin, his answer was smug and thick with insinuation. “Don’t lie, Lee. You like me ma’aming you.” “I find that I feel dirtier the longer I listen to this,” he heard Laney mutter from behind them. Shaking her head, Lee walked in front of him and—oh, yeah—that made his Sunday evening veer off from pretty damn good to incredible. Maybe even stellar. He followed her through the dining room, distracted while his mind went where the typical male mind tended to wander when faced with a supremely attractive female. Straight to the gutter. Just as he began thinking of the ways he’d enjoy stripping her of those fitted khaki pants that showcased her firm ass, thinking of how he’d love to cup it in his hands as she rode him, it was brought to a screeching halt. More like a grinding halt, maybe? Because when she stopped abruptly in front of him, just as they were about to walk into Momma K.’s kitchen, his hands instinctively reached for her hips to steady himself. And that slight arch of his lower body toward hers? Into her ass? Oops. Color him shameless. Turning her head to the side slightly, she mumbled, “Did you just grind on me? After I felt you staring at my ass the entire walk over here?” “Guilty.” He smirked. “What can I say? Your ass is like the eighth wonder of the world.” Before she could respond, they heard Momma K. call out, happily, “Langley! Come here, my dear girl.” Thus, ending the awkward yet somehow enjoyable encounter with his lovely Lee. And, yes. The teacher in him took pride in that impromptu example of alliteration. Lovely Lee. Lovely, luscious Lee. Lawson’s lovely, luscious Lee. Ding, ding, ding! The latter was absolute perfection. Yeah, he knew that he was a supreme dork, but at least he was an alliteration genius. Surely that canceled out the dorky part. Surely.

Nerve (Movie Review)

Release Date: July 27, 2016
Genre: Thriller
Synopsis: Industrious high school senior Vee Delmonico (Emma Roberts) is tired of living life on the sidelines. Pressured by her friends, Vee decides to join Nerve, a popular online game that challenges players to accept a series of dares. It's not long before the adrenaline-fueled competition requires her to perform increasingly dangerous stunts. When Nerve begins to take a sinister turn, Vee finds herself in a high-stakes finale that will ultimately determine her entire future.

Emma Roberts and Dave Franco team up to create one of the most hilarious and slightly thrilling movies that I have seen in 2016. The fact that it was based off a book, all the better.

However, it was a weird ending. That was the only bad thing about it. Because it ended so awkwardly, it ruined the whole movie experience for me but it was hilarious. I ended up laughing about every single thing when it came to this movie.

Yes it was a book but will I read it after watching the movie? Probably not. The only times I have done that was for Maze Runner, The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Me Before You. I just find myself not intrigued enough to read the book.

Emma Roberts does a fantastic job at creating this shy and timid girl who only watches her friends do everything. But she decides to jump the gun and team up with the daring Dave Franco.

Oh my lordy, he is just amazing and I want him all to myself.

The roles that he takes on just makes me love him even more than I knew was possibly. Excuse me while I am fan-girling over him for a while.

This online game is not only absolutely dangerous because of its anonymity but because of the things that they make you do. They meaning the watchers.

It makes me wonder if we ever really had a situation such as this if I would be a watcher or a player. With a 2.8 out of 5 stars, I will blog you later, awesome book nerds.

Reaper's.jpg

Blurb
New York Times bestselling author Joanna Wylde returns to the “wild and raw”* world of the Reapers MC with the story of Gage and Tinker…

The club comes first.
I’ve lived by those words my whole life—assumed I’d die by them, too, and I never had a problem with that. My Reaper brothers took my back and I took theirs and it was enough. Then I met her. Tinker Garrett. She’s beautiful, she’s loyal, and she works so damned hard it scares me sometimes . . . She deserves a good man—one better than me. I can’t take her yet because the club still needs me. There’s another woman, another job, another fight just ahead.
Now she’ll learn I’ve been lying to her all along. None of it’s real. Not my name, not my job, not even the clothes I wear. She thinks I’m nice. She pretends we’re just friends, that I’ve still got a soul . . . Mine’s been dead for years. Now I’m on fire for this woman, and a man can only burn for so long before he destroys everything around him.
I’m coming for you, Tinker.
Soon.

Excerpt
“I can’t believe how late it is,” Tinker said, yawning, and I realized the movie had ended. Now she stretched upward, the blanket falling to her waist as her boobs pushed forward.
God, how much should a man be expected to take?
I should’ve stayed away from her completely—that’d been the plan—but something had snapped when I’d seen her out in the courtyard. Couldn’t remember the last time I’d met a woman like Tinker. She was smart and sexy and funny, and she worked damned hard to take care of her family and business. Sure, I wanted to fuck her—you’d have to be gay not to—but I respected her, too.
“I should probably get going,” she said, offering me a smile so sweet I wanted to bite her lips. “I like to check on Dad before going to sleep, and I’ve got to be up early in the morning. I’ve got to package orders for the courier tomorrow—if they aren’t ready by two p.m., I’m screwed.”
I considered rolling over on top of her. Pushing her down into the couch cushions, shoving my leg between hers, and showing her what a real man feels like.
“Cooper?” she asked, looking confused. I blinked a couple times, forcing myself to focus on her face.
“I’m going to watch another one,” I told her, because I’m a goddamn masochist. “You sure you’re ready to head out?”
She frowned, and I could almost read her thoughts. Yes, she should leave. But she wanted me as much as I wanted her. And yeah, I realize that makes me sound like an egotistical ass, but this wasn’t my first rodeo. I saw the lust in her eyes, and the way she licked her lips and stared at my mouth. This wasn’t a one-way street, not even close.
“I guess I could stay a little longer,” she whispered. Christ, she was so sweet and soft. I wanted to bite her even more now. Suck that pouty lower lip into my mouth and shove a finger up her ass.
Break her.
You’re one sick fuck.
Why yes. Yes, I am. Thanks for noticing.
I managed to control the urge, catching her hand instead, giving it a friendly squeeze like some kind of pathetic tool. Her fingers tightened on mine, then she pulled away and snuggled back down under the blanket, raising her feet to rest on the coffee table. I grabbed the remote and clicked through the menu.
Tomorrow I’d do my job. I’d fuck Talia and spy on Marsh and look for any kind of weakness that might end this situation, the faster the better. Tonight, though . . . Tonight I’d pretend this wasn’t a waste of time.
Goddamn, but my dick hurt.
The next hour was torture.
Tinker sat next to me, all cute and classy and absolutely refusing to make any kind of eye contact. I don’t know how she felt, but to me the sexual tension hanging in the air was thick and heavy. I kept thinking about her hand in mine—small, but strong. The hand of someone who knew how to work hard. So far as I knew, Talia had never held down a job, let alone supported herself.
The couch shifted, and I glanced over to find Tinker sliding deeper into the cushions, drawing the blanket up to her chin. Our legs were maybe six inches apart. She shifted again, and then her hand bumped mine under the blanket. She jerked it back quickly, and I caught the hint of a flush on her cheeks. That was another thing I liked about her—her skin was so pale that I could see every hint of arousal.
Grabbing her hand, I pulled it over to rest on my thigh. This was a really bad idea, so I pointedly refused to think it through. Her hand tensed at first, then relaxed into my strength. My cock swelled against the fabric of my jeans, just inches from her fingers—it’d be so easy to push her hand toward it, wrap it around my painfully swollen dick, and just go to town.
Tinker’s fingers gave a quick squeeze—almost more of a spasm—and I bit back a groan.
Yeah, okay. Really, really bad idea. I should get off the couch and shut this shit down right now, because I couldn’t afford to blow things with Talia just yet. Instead I found myself leaning toward Tinker, bumping shoulders.
God.
I’d grown a pussy. No other explanation, because I couldn’t figure out why the hell else an adult man would sit holding hands under a damned blanket like a kid.

Finding Dory (Movie Review)

Released Date: June 17, 2016
Genre: Animation
Synopsis: Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species. Dory now knows that her family reunion will only happen if she can save mom and dad from captivity.

I have awaited so long for this and I have watched it a total of three times because that is how amazing it was to me. The animators have done an outstanding job with this movie because Finding Dory is one of the cutest things I have seen and yet to beat.

I don't know what else to say about this movie other than the fact that as you piece together the information and join Dory along for the ride, you will not be disappointed. I fell in love with this movie because not only did it combine the first movie, Finding Nemo, with this but we went even further into the past.

The adventures that came along with this movie: whale talk, jumping tanks, learning ocean facts, and funny sounds.

Will you join this 5 out of 5 star adventure with Dory and the gang?

Blog you later, awesome nerds.

The Conjuring 2 (Movie Review)

Released Date: June 10, 2016
Genre: Horror
Synopsis: In 1977, paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren come out of a self-imposed sabbatical to travel to Enfield, a borough in north London. There, they meet Peggy Hodgson, an overwhelmed single mother of four who tells the couple that something evil is in her home. Ed and Lorraine believe her story when the youngest daughter starts to show signs of demonic possession. As the Warrens try to help the besieged girl, they become the next targets of the malicious spirit.

Ed and Lorraine Warren are my absolute favorite paranormal investigators. Why? Because they actually existed. Actually proven that non-existantal things do exist. Just not the naked eye.

I loved how the evil entity in this movie was not necessarily focused on one thing but rather a variety. The Crooked Man was my favorite because of the creepy song that came along with it.

There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile.He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile. He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

I think that this movie did a fantastic job at meshing two cases that the Warren's had in their lives and this one was a jump-scare movie. Never screamed but that was probably good idea.

With a 3.7 out of 5 stars, I will blog you later, awesome nerds.
