Predator - Michelle Horst

Published Date: April 29, 2016
Genre: Romance/Suspense
Synopsis: All my life I’ve been hiding, until there is no corner on this god-forsaken earth left for me to hide. I have to pay for the sins of my father. No one with Ellison blood in their veins is allowed to live, and I am the last of my bloodline.
I am kept in a container waiting for my death sentence to be carried out, when he comes. He is only known as ‘Predator’. No one knows who he works for, only that he leaves no one alive.
His every breath is filled with the last gasp of his dying prey.
But for some reason he doesn’t kill me.
I don’t know which is worse, the death sentence hanging over my head, or being at his mercy.

HOLY CRAP!

I did not know this book was going to be this great. So sexy. So brilliant.

All her life, she has been hiding but from what...

Predator or savior?

He is on his way but will he save the girl that is to pay her life for her family's sins?

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Predator because not only was it this psychological twist, it was just an amazing story.

Vandal: Iron Bones MC - Laura Day

Published Date: April 26, 2016
Genre: New Adult
Synopsis: Give me a good girl, and I’ll leave her a hot mess.
VANDAL
F*** and forget. That’s my motto.
From the moment I saw Tanya, from the moment I saw just how good, how pure, how innocent she is, I’ve wanted her.
I want her on her knees staring at me with those big brown eyes. I want her to moan when I’ve got her curvy figure in my hands. I want to hear her scream, begging me to take her.
Use her. Own her.
Make her MINE
I didn’t ask him to save me.
TANYA
And I sure as hell don’t need some tatted-up biker thinking that he owns me.
That I’m his property.
I know what he is: A heartbreaker who could only hurt me.
But if that’s true, then why am I alone with him?
Why am I kissing him?
And why do I want more?

Cavemen. What are we going to do? Can't live with them but can't live without them.

This whole story started off hot but boy, it was weird... Would you let this guy who walks into your diner while your closing up. He asks you to hide him... But the look of him and his eyes and his body have stolen your breath. Would you let him push you up against the wall and take you across the room -- literally -- with sex?

Sure, sounds hot and all but I am a little weirded out that she even let him go bareback... Like dude, you don't even know this guy and you're letting this happen? Yeah, he is a tattooed hottie but that means nothing to me if you aren't safe. Especially on the first encounter.

Cue creepy men.

BLEGH. BLEGH. BLEGH.

GAG. GAG. GAG.

That's how I felt about this story. I finished it -- which does say a lot and it was a cute story after you get all of this done and over with.

3 out of 5 stars for Laura Day and the try on MC Romances.

Bad Bitch - Christina Saunders (Bad Bitch #1)

Published Date: July 5, 2016
Genre: Romance/Comedy
Synopsis: They call me the Bad Bitch. A lesser woman might get her panties in a twist over it, but me? I'm the one who does the twisting. Whether it's in the courtroom or in the bedroom, I've never let anyone - much less a man - get the upper hand.

Except for that jerk attorney Lincoln Granade. He's dark, mysterious, smoking hot and sexy as hell. He's nothing but a bad, bad boy playing the part of an up and coming premiere attorney. I'm not worried about losing in a head to head battle with this guy. But he gets me all hot and bothered in a way no man has ever done before. I don't like a person being under my skin this much. It makes me want to let go of all control, makes me want to give in. This dangerous man makes me want to submit to him completely, again, and again, and again...

They call her Bad Bitch for a reason and I loved this romantic, sexy, comedy.

Evan is just trying to find the guy that is trying to find the guy that can satisfy her in bed and her particular needs. She is the Dom and I always love s strong female character because of the fact that she takes shit from nobody. This bad bitch needs an award because you are going to fall in love with this book. These characters. This story.

Lincoln Granade has officially lit my panties on fire with his form fitting description of tall, dark, and handsome.
But is it possible that this is the guy that has met Bad Bitch's requirement for her needs? Wants? Will he break Bad Bitch?

Light the matches of this romance because it will bring the heat to something that you never knew possible.

5 out of 5 stars.

Booty Call - Ainsley Booth (Forbidden Bodyguard #2)

Published Date: February 23, 2016
Genre: Romance
Synopsis: I know what I’m doing when I text Scott at four in the morning.
He knows what I’m doing, too.
That’s why he shows up twenty-three minutes later, freshly showered with a condom in his pocket and a barely dissolved breath mint on his tongue.
I smirk as he looms over me. “You are such a dirty old man.”
“We need to stop doing this.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re twenty-one and I’m not. Because I want to take you on a f***ing date and you won’t. Because we wind up yelling at each other half the time.”
“But the rest of the time you’re inside me and it feels so good, right?”
His eyes darken and I don’t need to look down to know he’s hard for me.

Booty Call is a sequel to Hate F*CK and well, I think that the first part serial was much better than this one. Up and down, I felt so confused as to what was happening.

Not the greatest story ever because Scott was practically insufferable but Ali was much worse. At first, I thought this was a sequel to another series but I was wrong. The characters and storyline were so similar that I just had to put the book down a few times.

Living a rich life sounds nice and all but it sounds like Ali wants out. Other than getting all of the lingerie that she wants.

Clichéd, unnatural, and no personality characters -- except caveman and cavewoman.

I was expecting a dirty romance but it took about half the book before it jumped to the "dirty" deed.

Shocker. Ali is a virgin and Scott -- he wants her but can't have her... Can't taint her.

14 YEARS APART. Jesus. Okay, older men have a certain appeal but this is just too much for me. I cannot deal with this. He really was a dirty old man who I felt like was always creeping on Ali. But she did it much worse on him by throwing down some really, really, REALLY cliché lines.

Booty Call -- an awful romance.

ARC: Hotel Indigo - Aubrey Parker

Published Date: September 13, 2016
Genre: Romance
Synopsis: At the luxurious Hotel Indigo, the staff is attentive and the heat is always on.

Between her father's funeral, stress from work, and her mother's guilt, Lucy White has hit her boiling point. Something's got to give, so she books a room at the exclusive Hotel Indigo spa to let it all go, and leave her worries behind.

Dark and brooding Marco is Indigo's best masseur -- always in demand, always under pressure to "make the ladies feel good." According to the boss, Marco's pay depends on talented hands and loose morals, but lately Marco has had enough. He'll take one last high-paying client, then leave his tired past behind.

But paradise has other plans for both of them.

Once Lucy checks in and falls under Marco's strong touch, she just may never check out.

OH. MY. LANTA.

MY PANTIES MAY BE ON FIRE WITH MARCO AND LUCY. LIKE HOLY SHIT.

I CANNOT STOP MY REVIEW FROM BEING IN ALL CAPITALS BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MY MIND IS WORKING RIGHT NOW.

GET THIS. BUY THIS. LIVE THIS. LOVE THIS.

I want Hotel Indigo in my hands so I can have Marco's face all over my bookshelf. He is so hot and so beautiful that I can see why he is always in demand. People treat him like crap but I knew that there was something there that needed to unlocked.

Lucy did that for him.

Okay, I don't know what else to say other than to get this book because you will NOT be disappointed.

His Property - Hannah Ford (His Property #1)

Published Date: April 7, 2016
Genre: Erotica
Synopsis: Whips. Chains. Punishments.
These are my world now, ever since gorgeous billionaire Liam Rutherford pushed me into the back of his expensive black SUV, forcing me to live with him at his fancy penthouse apartment in New York City, holding me as collateral for my father’s gambling debt.
He claims I don’t have to do anything I’m not comfortable with.
But that’s only because he’s convinced he’ll be able to break me down, to make me beg for his whips and chains, his rules and punishments -- and all the other twisted, filthy things he’s into.
His chiseled abs, his intoxicating smile, his tongue pushing past my lips, his nails digging into my back… they’re making me lose my mind. I am a slave to his every desire, his every want, his every wicked whisper.
The need for him rages inside of me, even as it makes the humiliation scorch my veins from the inside out.
He says he’s beyond saving.
But I’m going to do my damnedest to try…
Before he breaks me completely.

Oh boy, what to say about this book...

I don't know whether I liked it or not. Seriously, it was like 10 pages and then it just stopped -- TO BE CONTINUED. Like what? Why not just finish it? But I can also understand why she didn't.

Hannah Ford gives us a short, sweet, and full of Rutherford.

I think this is a series that I will be continuing in the future but it won't be anytime soon.

There's not much that I cannot say about this book without giving away everything but I found that this book really was an adorable book.

Right - Jana Aston (Wrong #2)

Published Date: April 6, 2016
Genre: Romance
Synopsis: My childhood was perfect.
I’ve led a charmed life, and I’m not going to blow it now by picking the wrong guy.
I’ve got my sights set on my brother’s best friend.
He’s known my family for years. He’s reliable and kind and handsome.
Sure, he’s been avoiding me since I was six.
I’m a bit aggressive for him, maybe.
But he’s the one… right?

Okay, to say the least. I think I have fallen in love with Jana Aston's writing and Wrong series.

In Right, I snorted and giggled like it was the funniest thing on the Earth.

I can definitely relate to Everly. After all, we are a bit aggressive towards guys. But those who are scared off are obviously no good. Because the main reason we are aggressive is... Is.... Okay, I have no reason as to why I am aggressive. But sometimes it works?

As long as you don't have your eyes on the wrong guy. But at the time, you think it is right.

I definitely wasn't expecting this to be in the book but I loved, loved, loved this.

Everly is absolutely outrageous and hilarious that I just could not put this book down. I am pretty sure that I got weird looks because I kept laughing on the train and shaking my head. Bet they wish they knew to read Jana Aston.

The right guy is often the wrong guy but can we find out who it is for Everly?

Sentinel - Jennifer L. Armentrout (Covenant #5)

Published Date: November 2, 2013
Genre: Young Adult
Synopsis: It's a beautiful day for a war.

As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all.

And with all the obstacles between Alex and her happily-ever-after with the swoonworthy Aiden St. Delphi, they must now trust a deadly foe as they travel deep into the Underworld to release one of the most dangerous gods of all time.

In the stunning, action-packed climax to the bestselling Covenant series, Alex must face a terrible choice: the destruction of everything and everyone she holds dear… or the end of herself.

Guys... What the actual loving Gods of Heaven and Hell.

I'm staring at my tea mug because I have no idea how I feel about this whole situation. My main question is how can Jennifer L. Armentrout. Like how dare she. But all the more, I think I fell in love with her writing with these series.

I just couldn't put it down.

Sentinel is a beautiful ending to a beautiful series.

I just hoped that it wouldn't end and my wishes were granted because we get a better look into why Seth did what he did. What drove him. What broke him.

I loved this so much

A 5 out of 5 wonderful stars.

Apollyon - Jennifer L. Armentrout (Covenant #4)

Published Date: April 4, 2013
Genre: Young Adult
Synopsis: Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.

Because of Seth, we have encountered the part of Alex that we have always feared. Something that we didn't want to see at all.

As we saw in Elixir, Alex has become and did the two things that she has always feared. How she didn't want this to happen. Yet it did. Could things have been done to avoid it? Hell yes. But I'm kind of glad it didn't.

This made this book, all the better.

Apollyon is a beautiful addition to the Covenant series because we get to see Alex fight for love and for want. To stop this internal battle, she will need to get past the God Killer status and fight for her life and ones that she truly loves.

5 out of 5 stars.

Elixir - Jennifer L. Armentrout (Covenant #3.5)

Published Date: November 27, 2012
Genre: Young Adult
Synopsis: Aiden St. Delphi will do anything to save Alex. Even if it means doing the one thing he will never forgive himself for. Even if it means making war against the gods.

That synopsis tells us all.

I cannot get over Aiden St. Delphi and no matter who I encounter in other books and what I say, nobody can tell me different.

I am in love with St. Delphi and his forbidden pure-blood ness. I need him in my life even if that means re-reading the series over and over again. Elixir will make you think long and hard about what you would do for the one person that you love.

Even if that means going against your values. Going back against your words and promises.

A fantastic 4.7 out of 5 stars for this novella.
