Shadowhunters: "Bad Blood" (Ep. 6)

Of course, a happy late birthday to Izzy because she's the object of beautiful and action fierce. Can we ask for more? 

Cause baby, we got bad blood, you know it used to be mad love! Belt it with me! Okay, yes, I like to be stupid every now and then. ;) But I love me some Swifty. 

Anyways, this episode made me want to punch Jace in the face. As hot as an alpha male is, seeing it on the screen made me just gag and maybe give him a hug around his neck with my hands but hey, some people are into seeing it on the screen.

New character is introduced and a new connection? Weird, I have never knew this in the book so maybe I need to reread the books. Yet again. 

Oh my gosh, I have to say little Max is the cutest thing in the world! I can't handle how tiny he is compared to Alec and Izzy. But I also didn't picture him that tiny. Isn't he supposed to be 7 or 8? Or at least in that age range because he looks like he's 5 or 6. I get that they are going for the Lolita effect. But, the book... It's there for a reason.

Is Cassandra Clare even helping with the show? Do they know they are botching the show up slightly? Well, I guess botch would be a bit harsh because they do get some things right and they gave me Simon. He's hot. I say that every review of the show. Even better in this episode but you'll just have to watch it and find out why. 

Clary shows the book Clary as she is getting consumed by Jace. I cannot wait for reality to kick in... Well I guess, in some way, it did in this episode. I think I sniffled... Or straight up balled my eyes out because it was something that took my breath away.

"He never would have known about the Shadowworld if it wasn't for me."

That part actually broke my heart... But, I still have to rate this episode a 3.3 out of 5 stars. But hey, there's always next week to try to make the Shadowhunters better.

Shadowhunters: "Moo Shu To Go" (Ep. 5)

Well, I am right there with Alec about having to give up your most precious memory. When I read the books, I was definitely speechless when this whole part happened but I was also not surprised that when they linked it with the show, why was it automatically assumed that he was in love with Jace?

Could it not have been the parabatai bond between Jace and Alec? Nope. Of course not. Sorry. Criticism level trying to lower... And lower... And failed. So again, why? Why does it have to automatically be love? I absolutely adore Alec to death but I laugh every single time he is very "salty" with Clary over the fact that all attention is on her from Jace and not him... Awww. Sympathy vote won.

The way the last episode ended had be throw my hands up in the air and say yeahhhhh. *Tries to remember Chris Brown's song, Yeah* That's not going to happen. But let's say that I was very annoyed and creeped out by Valentine. So if that was their endgame, they succeeded. 

Oh my gosh! Magnus and Alec are the freaking cutest things in the world! With Valentine's Day, no... NOT THAT CREEPY OLD FREAK, coming up, love is in the air which is exactly what is the opposite of Creepy Valentine. 

Rate 3.8 out of 5 stars.

But, this episode wasn't shabby... I liked it and again, I'm watching this as I am dozing off so perhaps I will update it soon but I also want to mark the fact of the case against Clare and Kenyon... What's On My Shelf?

You know, being busy with school and everything really sucks because it takes me away from my precious reading time. I'll fit it whenever I can and since I am not able to provide a review, I just wanted to share what is on my TBR (To-Be Read List) so that I am making little posts here and there.

On November 10, 2015, an ARC review will be coming out for Cecilia Tan's Daron's Guitar Chronicles: Volume Eight. Mind you this, I haven't read #1-7 so I am a bit puzzled while trying to figure what the relationships of the characters are. Although I am only on like chapter 4, I like the twist of the fact that it's more focused on LGBTQ relationships rather than heterosexuals so it was a bit shocking but it gave me a breather. 

I'm going to stop sharing about that because you'll hear all about it on my assigned ARC date.

I also have Rowena Tisdale's Awake in a Sweet Unrest but I haven't been able to start it even though I have been itching to start it as well as Nikki Jefford's Whiteout. 

I am also lucky to have so many book fans within my family that we can exchange and recommend books to each other. Such as one of my awesome cousins gave me The Indigo Spell and Beastly. I saw the movie for Beastly and needless to say that as much as Vanessa Hudgens is an awesome person, she just ruined the movie... Stick with music related ones please because your voice is amazing.

Mind you this, on my Kindle shelf... Let's just say that the amount of books that I 1-clicked is a bit out of hand... St-- Actually, don't stop with the free books. ;)

Let's just say, tomorrow, after some Halloween costume shopping, I am going to be going to get caffeinated and just read... After some homework of course but not if I finish everything tonight. Let's pull an all nighter!

Anyways, that's what's on my shelf for right now everyone. Like I said, school is literally kicking my ass and as much as I would rather quit school and just read and blog, I can't. I need at least some type of a degree.

City of Fallen Angels - Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments #4)

Oh my, oh my, oh my!

Cassandra Clare never seems to fail me for my fill of hot guys, the action, romance, and thrillers. Because I mean, who doesn't want those things?

So I will be completely honest. I was a bit bored with this book because I mean, there wasn't a whole lot of new things. Like yes, Clary will never leave Jace's side as Simon would never leave Clary's. Simon is working his vampire mojo on women/girls a.k.a. Maia and Isabelle. Shocking... Not really. 

A new character is introduced and he sounds attractive as hell and a shocking twist or twists are revealed from this character and from some of the main characters. I believe that majority of the book is in Simon's perspective but it is kind of confusing when the only thing dividing the perspectives is paragraphs.

I mean, this book was good. Don't get me wrong. It was very slow at first and what happened i the first three books, pretty much happened in this one too. Yet, I was still shocked at some of the new minor characters in this book and now that I know who Camille is... She's sabotages people's relationship, ahem, COUGH COUGH, Magnus's. 

I am going to go ahead and rate this book a solid 4 out of 5 stars because I think that everyone should read this series and this book because the ending definitely killed me. Yes. I am a blogger from beyond the grave. 

Just kidding.

Anyways, I should warn you guys that I may not be posting as much through this next month or two because of my final exams and you know how I am with school.

Just read this and completely fell in love.

I absolutely loved this book. This book is the vain of my ex-- Okay, maybe not that far. But Will, Tessa, and Jem are my favorite in this book, granted that they are the main characters in this book. Just seeing the love triangle develop is the cutest things of all time.

Tessa just wanted a normal life and to get reunited with her brother. She would do anything for him and if that means traveling across the seas to get to him, she would. He mysteriously sends her a ticket to come to London, England and away from New York after their aunt's passing. 

She endures months of torture from The Black Sisters and it will make your heart ache as the story goes on.

When Will and Jem come to save her from their grasps, you will just automatically want to put them on your book boyfriends list. But as you read on and if you have read the The Mortal Instrument series before the prequel of The Infernal Devices, you will automatically connect Will to Jace and Jem to Simon as well as Tessa to Clary. Somewhat. 

I am going to go ahead and rate this book a 4.7 out of 5 stars. Although there are some minor characters within, you will love them nonetheless. 

I would highly recommend this book and if you don't read it, you're certifiably insane.

The only thing racing through my mind is, 'What the hell is Clary doing?!'. She is one of the most stubborn people that I have ever read about. I do like her spunk however. 

The mid-ending was the sweetest thing ever and considering that Simon and Clary are a no-more thing, I do want to cheer on either Maia and Simon or Simon and Isabelle. 

Aline is just... ARGH. You know the feeling... Um... Sebastian is just something. He's definitely a character.

That plot twist at the end however, it had me by the neck.

I finished this book during my trip to go see Mt. Rushmore, which I hiked around so yay me, I am finally getting back into shape and it feels awesome. So when I finished this book, I was just thinking, 'Must review, must review, MUST REVIEW!'

Clare has done it again and it doesn't surprise me that I can finish her books in so little time. I cannot wait until I have City of Fallen Angels into my hands. Anyways... Read this book and I think that you will fall in love with the characters even more.

Mafia Girl - Deborah Blumenthal

So I am reading, well read this book with a friend of mine as we were giggling in the library.
My thoughts are is that although, this book has its funny moments but I don't know if I liked it or disliked it so we will go with indifferent. 
Gia has a funny life. Everyone is either swooning after her or turning their backs of fear.
Michael, Officer Mchottie is a correct term for whom I am picturing. 
Don daughter meets hot cop = Disastrous Love

This book was another version of Mean Girls. Nobody wants to be friends with a girl that can snap her fingers and have her daddy's men come after them within a quick second. Although she acts like she is a tough girl, there is a side to her that is completely innocent.

Funny thing is, when I imagined her, I immediately thought of a girl in tight clothing and oozing sex appeal but when she meets Officer McHottie, her knees buckles and she is wrapped around his fingers. 

I am going to rate this book a solid 3 out of 5. Funny and interesting book to read to get insight into a Don's daughter's life with her family but it is not a book that I would read again.

Oh Clary, Clary, Clary... I am disappointed in such a character because if she can't have one thing, she moves onto the next best thing. This story broke my heart into a million pieces with all of the sadness that came along with it. Although there were parts where I did laugh, I almost wanted to strangle these characters to get their heads screwed on straight. 

That plot twist with Simon and Jace, just about killed me. Although Clary's was shocking as well. By the end of the first book, you kind of already knew who Alec gave his heart too. Magnus, although he acts all tough, high and almighty, he does have a certain soft spot for a person. 

I would rate this more stars if I could because it gave me the thrill I craved. The Mortal Instruments is something that I needed in a long time. I rate this book a solid 5 out of 5 stars but I did hesitate when I read the last chapter to the story. Why couldn't Clary break the friend zone?

Okay, picture this: Romeo & Juliet meet fantasy creatures such as castors, vampires, and werewolves.

That just summarized Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl.

Two people who were never meant to be together because of their differences. I wanted to say that Beautiful Creatures did not involve something tragic but I cannot promise you false things because that would be false on my part.

I definitely wanted to cry during this book but I didn't. I braved it through and in return, I read a fantastic book that I would most definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone who reads Young Adult novels that involve fantasy creatures.

Garcia and Stohl definitely knew how to make unbelievably witty and romantic book. 

I started off reading the Dangerous Creatures series by them, a spin off from this series. You definitely don't need to read this series before reading those but now I feel like I have no insight into the characters.

I was not disappointed and I know my fellow readers won't be either. I rate this book a solid 4.7 stars out of 5. DO READ.

Currently, I am reading The Young Elites - Marie Lu and City of Ashes - Cassandra Clare. I am excited when I read the second book of The Mortal Instruments but I am kind of iffy on Lu's book.

Extras - Scott Westerfeld (Uglies #4)

First off, happy birthday to me! I could have posted this yesterday but I chose today because this review is the mark to the end of the Uglies series and I am sad at the fact that I will not be reading and reviewing this anymore. It is a series that can be read over and over again without the worry of becoming bored.

I love Scott Westerfeld as an author because he definitely knows how to focus on the whole end-of-the-world teen dystopian novels with a small romance but it is not the main focus of it. It is of the action and fantasy of these novels. 

Okay, at first I was definitely confused as to why it was a different story from another characters point of view. By the end, I loved how Scott Westerfeld incorporated the other three books into the bone chilling conclusion to the Uglies series. I do not know if I want to start reading his other series but it was a good, no, it was a great book.

These series was definitely a great re-read especially since i never really understood it way back in middle school. It was entertaining and something that I could read on the train every day to work. 

This book was a perfect conclusion to the entire series and although I wish it was continued, it was definitely a great ending to an amazing series. 

I rate this book 4 stars out of 5 only because I was slightly confused on the fact that Westerfeld started this series with new characters and by the end, I loved again, how he connected everyone together.

I do not want to do a review on this, to all honesty, because that means it is the end to a good, no, great book. However, get excited because I am going to finish up this review and soak up the words from City of Ashes. 

But this review also could not have waited until Wednesday because I adored it way to much.

The plot twist in this book is absolutely heart shattering because I was going in that total romance feeling and Clare completely shattered that. 

"Didn't I read your tea leaves, Shadowhunter? Have you fallen in love with the wrong person yet?" 

No, no, no, NO! 

I rate this book a solid 5 stars out of 5 because Clare and her characters knew how to capture everything about your attention. I was flipping through the pages and almost too fast. I mean a 500 page book finished within two days? I need a life.

Cuckoo Song - Frances Hardinge

I think that the book was slightly confusing and very hard to get into in the beginning however, I give this book praise for some of the original ideas and giving me the funny goosebumps. Or elf-kisses as Jennifer L. Armentrout likes to call them. 

Just from reading the synopsis, I thought I figured out the book before I even read it but there were lots of turning points in this book. 

After reading this, I felt sorrow for Penelope Crescent because she was absolutely distraught. This book had me in a lot of emotions, mainly in tears from laughing. However, this book was definitely a creepy thriller. 

I definitely want to create a, well several lists about some of my favorite books within certain categories such as romance or thrillers.

I rate this this a solid 4.3 stars out of 5 because I felt the book's story creepiness in my mind. Even the cover is horrifying and maybe it is because I am afraid of dolls whether it is Barbie or Raggedy Ann dolls, even porcelain dolls. 

I truly do love this book but it was abnormally long and easily could have been divided into two or three books. However, I did love the sweet ending. It was truly a thrilling novel. 

I just started reading the City of Bones by Cassandra Clare because it was recommended to me by my little cousin and I take this very seriously just because she is not big on reading. So if she likes a book series, it was be thrilling.
