Sweet Evil - Wendy Higgins (The Sweet Trilogy #1)

Published Date: May 1, 2012
Genre: Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Romance/Young Adult

Synopsis: Embrace the Forbidden

What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?

This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?

Oh Anna Whitt, you are truly one of a kind. No really. I love this book because the characters can remember things before they were even born and Anna was able to feel the love from both of her parents before they were torn apart by life and death.

When she meets Kaidan, their chemistry is undeniable.

Higgins unfolds Anna and Kaidan's story with a twist of Romeo & Juliet because of their forbidden but undeniable love and with some HOT fallen angels. I mean, who doesn't like fallen angels that make you squirm in your seat in a good way.

I loved this story right off the bat because Higgins has a great way of capturing her readers and having them fall in love with their relationship. Even when she describes their kisses, the room gets steamy.  I love the fact that they tell everyone's emotions and that their senses are heightened to an extreme.

I have no bad things to say about this book, honestly. I can rate this book up there with Jennifer L. Armentrout's books, hands down with a 5 out of 5 stars. I cannot wait to start on and review Sweet Peril - Wendy Higgins as well as Secret - Brigid Kemmerer.

Unchained - Jennifer L. Armentrout

"He kissed her so deeply that she thought her soul would burst into flames. He laid claim to her soul, just as he had already done to her heart." (J.L.A.)

That quote gets me every single time that I read this book. I mean, COME ON. Who wouldn't want a guy or girl that does this to you every single time?

Julian... You're moving onto my book boyfriends list. Stalk me anytime, fallen angel. I mean, at the end when that plot twist... Well it wasn't even just one plot twist. Although, Julian was and always will be the sweetest fallen angel that I have ever read about.

"Those words touches a part of her, one that was tender and vulnerable." (J.L.A.)
Published Date (e-book only): September 17, 2013
Genre: Young Adult/Romance/Fantasy

Synopsis: Between the pissed off creatures that want demon-hunter Lily Marks dead and the fallen angel who just...wants her, Lily is about ready to trade in forever for a comfy job in a cubicle farm.

The fact that she and Julian are civil to one another is enough to have her thrown out of the Sanctuary, but she can't shake her not-so-angelic stalker or how he brings her dangerously close to ecstasy.

Her forbidden relationship with Julian provides the perfect fuel for suspicion when a traitor is discovered to be working within the Sanctuary. Lily quickly finds herself hunted by well, everyone.

Her only hope is to discover the real traitor before she loses everything--and she'll need Julian's help. That is, if Julian is really there to help her...and not destroy her.

Yeah, being a Nephilim isn't everything it's cracked up to be.

I rate this book a 3.7 out of 5 stars. I am a huge sucker for romance and this is one of the very few books that I consider true romance. The fallen angel who was portrayed as the antagonist truly never was one because I mean, the plot twist. But you will just have to read this in order to know what I am talking about.

I will be back with Rebels: City of Indra - Kendall/Kylie Jenner and Maya Sloan and one more announcement:

In just a couple more days and a month, Forever with You - Jennifer L. Armentrout will be released on September 29, 2015. Do keep an eye out for it!

To-Be Published Date: September 29, 2015 (Subjected to change)
Genre: Romance/Young Adult

Synopsis: In the irresistibly sexy series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout, two free spirits find their lives changed by a one-night stand…

Some things you just believe in, even if you've never experienced them. For Stephanie, that list includes love. It's out there. Somewhere. Eventually. Meanwhile she's got her job at the mixed martial arts training center and hot flings with gorgeous, temporary guys like Nick. Then a secret brings them closer, opening Steph's eyes to a future she never knew she wanted—until tragedy rips it away.

Nick's self-assured surface shields a past no one needs to know about. His mind-blowing connection with Steph changes all that. As fast as he's knocking down the walls that have kept him commitment-free, she's building them up again, determined to keep the hurt—and Nick—out. But he can't walk away. Not when she's the only one who's ever made him wish for forever . . .

I do hope that I will get a chance to review this in paperback more than the Kindle Edition to be close to finishing up my paperback collection of the Wait for You series.

Alrighty, my awesome book nerds, I will blog you later as soon as I can!

Hush, hush Saga - Becca Fitzpatrick

Finished Date: October 23, 2012
Genre: Young Adult/Paranormal

Synopsis for Hush, hush:

Romance was not part of Nora Grey's plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.

Synopsis for Crescendo:

Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever (if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar.

Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something.

If that weren't enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.

Synopsis for Silence:

Nora Grey can't remember the past five months of her life. After the initial shock of waking up in a cemetery and being told that she has been missing for weeks - with no one knowing where she was or who she was with - she tried to get her life back on track. Go to school, hang out with her best friend, Vee, and dodge mom's creepy new boyfriend.

But there is this voice in the back of her head, an idea that she can almost reach out and touch. Visions of angel wings and unearthly creatures that have nothing to do with the life she knows.

And this unshakable feeling that a part of her is missing.

Then Nora crosses paths with a sexy stranger, whom she feels a mesmerizing connection to. He seems to hold all the answers...and her heart. Every minute she spends with him grows more and more intense until she realizes she could be falling in love. Again.

Synopsis for Finale:

Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.

Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.

But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.

As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.

The Hush, hush Saga by Becca Fitzpatrick is a chilling tale in the main protagonists view. Her name is Nora Grey and I can tell you that you will fall in love with her right away with her snarky attitude towards guys. That is until she meets Patch. She is dangerously coming close to falling for someone she knows she should steer away from but his mysteriousness draws her in immediately along with all of the danger that comes with him. Follow Fitzpatrick through the journey of Nora Grey's life.

Upcoming book reviews that I will hopefully be doing will be Beckon Me - Cindy Thomas, Captive - Aimée Carter, and Twist - Karen Akins. I bundled these books together because they were so good but I didn't want to spam my blog and readers with four different reviews. I would recommend reading these books if you're in for romance and a thrilling story.

I rate this a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars as an average of all four books.
