Release Date: Forever with You - Jennifer L. Armentrout (With You #5)

Published Date: September 29, 2015
Genre: New Adult/Romance
Synopsis: In the irresistibly sexy series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout, two free spirits find their lives changed by a one-night stand…

Some things you just believe in, even if you've never experienced them. For Stephanie, that list includes love. It's out there. Somewhere. Eventually. Meanwhile she's got her job at the mixed martial arts training center and hot flings with gorgeous, temporary guys like Nick. Then a secret brings them closer, opening Steph's eyes to a future she never knew she wanted—until tragedy rips it away.

Nick's self-assured surface shields a past no one needs to know about. His mind-blowing connection with Steph changes all that. As fast as he's knocking down the walls that have kept him commitment-free, she's building them up again, determined to keep the hurt—and Nick—out. But he can't walk away. Not when she's the only one who's ever made him wish for forever . . .

Happy Book Birthday to the awesome Jennifer L. Armentrout and to her fifth book of the With You saga. Book boyfriends at every turn with each of her books and you even end up loving the female characters because they are the definition of strong!

I know it doesn't come out for a while but I am anticipating Fire in You as well. But for now, I ordered Forever with You on both Kindle and paperback so we will see how this book turns out. I have high hopes for Steph and Nick considering they are one and the same.

But, my review will have to wait until I can finish and update this, awesome book nerds. Trust me... The suspense is killing me as well.

UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE!

I finished Forever with You and found myself sniffling in bed. This is one of the most heart-breaking yet mending stories that I have read.

Now, let's be honest. I am going to warn you... Ovaries will explode, hearts will break, but love will prevail.

As aforementioned, my heart was broken when I read about Stephanie going through all of the mixed emotions but Nick wouldn't let her be and go through it alone. There was the spark of love.

But there isn't just romantics of relationships but there are those of familial and friendships. Although, Stephanie was new to town, she was immediately enveloped in the loving embrace of Avery and her friends. Mainly Roxy and Katie.

Through this book, you will be led through the stages of grief. Denial, anger, depression, bargaining, and finally, acceptance. She was able to go through this with the help of those around her. No one should be left alone in this type of situation and thankfully, she came around to just accepting that her friends were going to annoy the hell out of her until she was able to cope.

Stephanie seems to always assume things and they are always the worst. Rumors spread about her since she was in high school and hasn't been in a serious relationship since. Nick, not since college.

I loved this to beyond. Give this your time of day and read this. Maybe the entire series.

The Green Inferno (Movie Review)

Let me just say this, if you want the blood and gore. You won't get it here. Yeah, there were some parts that made you cringe or gag. Eli Roth kept it PG-13 and I think the only reason why I believe it was rated as R was because you saw a penis here and there, touching, and boobs. Can't see the boobs unless you're over 17, right?

Release Date: September 25, 2015
Genre: Horror
Synopsis:
New York college student Justine (Lorenza Izzo), a lawyer's daughter, meets a student activist named Alejandro (Ariel Levy) when he goes on a hunger strike on behalf of underpaid janitors. Smitten, Justine agrees to help Alejandro undertake his next project: to save the Amazon. She soon learns to regret her decision when their plane crashes in the Peruvian jungle and she and the rest of their group are taken captive by a tribe of hungry cannibals.

One of the movies that I will never add to my horror movie collection nor would ever watch it again if someone does have the audacity to buy it. I am not going to lie... I learned about the cannibalistic tribe but honestly they mistook the group to be part of the group that was destroying their homes.

I will save you the $11 of watching it and give you what I got in.

College freshman wants to do something for the world, finds an activist group, flies to the Amazon, group chains themselves to trees, main girl experiences near-death experience, on plane ride back home, plane breaks down and crashes, tribe ambushes them, eaten one by one. Main girl survives. Of course she does. Of course she does!

I was expecting gore. I was expecting hardcore cannibalism but honestly, I either cringed at the screaming or I was laughing at the movie. There was a sweet cannibal kid that felt that what they were doing was wrong... Guess what he does?

There was a funny part that does involve hyper-ness and the munchies... Can you guess what happens? Yeah, you just got the idea. I was laughing a bit to hard at that scene...

This movie was not god-awful but it wasn't a 5 out of 5 stars. We are going to go ahead and be generous and rate this movie a 2.7 stars out of 5. Do not and I warn... Do not spend money to watch this.

Alright, I will blog you later, awesome nerds and I will be back with The White Rabbit Chronicles series by Gena Showalter in order to celebrate her upcoming book to be released on the 29th of September and Forever with You - Jennifer L. Armentrout, also being released on the 29th of September.

Beautiful Darkness - Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl (Caster Chronicles #2)

Published Date: October 12, 2010
Genre: Fantasy/Young Adult
Synopsis: Ethan Wate used to think of Gatlin, the small Southern town he had always called home, as a place where nothing ever changed. Then he met mysterious newcomer Lena Duchannes, who revealed a secret world that had been hidden in plain sight all along. A Gatlin that harbored ancient secrets beneath its moss-covered oaks and cracked sidewalks. A Gatlin where a curse has marked Lena's family of powerful Supernaturals for generations. A Gatlin where impossible, magical, life-altering events happen.

Sometimes life-ending.

Together they can face anything Gatlin throws at them, but after suffering a tragic loss, Lena starts to pull away, keeping secrets that test their relationship. And now that Ethan's eyes have been opened to the darker side of Gatlin, there's no going back. Haunted by strange visions only he can see, Ethan is pulled deeper into his town's tangled history and finds himself caught up in the dangerous network of underground passageways endlessly crisscrossing the South, where nothing is as it seems.

I am absolutely enamored with Ethan Wate because who wouldn't want a boyfriend that's obsessed with protecting you? I was heartbroken as I was reading about Lena and Ethan's relationship and how it progressed because... Well you get the gist of it and I don't really like spoilers unless if I want to save you guys the time from reading this and well, this is a must-read.

It was one of those books that was really hard to read at first because it just was not your style but then as son as you get into the third chapter, you realize that you're almost halfway through the book and the sun is coming up. Exhausted, you want to sleep for a couple hours before work but that didn't happen. It had me questions what sleep was.

This new character that is going to be introduced in this book will have you falling hard just from his looks but not his dick-headed personality. Now personally, another new character is just coming in and your head will spinning with the words of 'WTF, Ethan.' 'You can't do that.' 'You can't call her that.' But then again, I said the same thing about Lena throughout the novel. There were some parts that just made me slam my book and almost, I said almost, chuck it at the wall and crack the plaster. One of the heaviest books that I have read.

Also the plot twist was just mind-blowing and the revelation just hits you like a couple of bricks.

So I am going to rate this book a good 4 out 5 stars because there were some parts of this book that were just distasteful and you cannot do anything about it. It's published and done with. I think that I am going to go ahead and read the next book in the series and see where we are from there.

The next book will hopefully be Forever with You - Jennifer L. Armentrout and the White Rabbit Chronicles - Gena Showalter.

By this weekend, I am going to be a little helper for Ms. Gena Showalter and storm the bookstores and stick her books with some stickers. Maybe you'll see one of us helpers storming the stores.

Blog you later, awesome book nerds and I will be back with The Prisoner of Cell 25 - Richard Paul Evans.

Release Date: Sweet Temptation - Wendy Higgins (The Sweet Trilogy #4)

Oh what a beautiful day! Sweet Temptation has been born and it is out and about and I am spinning around, frolicking with it in the bookstore and in my home because I can just imagine his beautiful British accent and how he is tortured on the inside. (I have learned from bookstores that they may carry new and unpublished books before the release date and you just have to ask them)

Throughout my breaks in class, I have pulled out the book and just read and read. Ugh. I cannot get enough of Kai and his process of working through his emotions.

I just about lost it in class when Higgins used 'purple-nurple' in the book.

When Kaidan meets Anna, it is completely unexpected because he's never wanted anything in his life until her.
Published Date: September 8, 2015
Genre: Fantasy/Young Adult/Romance

Synopsis: Bad boy Kaidan Rowe has never wanted for anything—money, popularity, musical talent…hot girls—but seducing them is part of his duty as a Nephilim, slave to the demon Dukes. As the son of the Duke of Lust, Kaidan has learned his father’s ways, becoming a master of passion, a manipulator of chemistry. Disobeying his father would mean certain death. Thankfully for Kaidan, he’s good at his job. And he enjoys it.

Until he meets Anna Whitt—sweet, smart, feisty, and inexplicably good—the one girl seemingly immune to his charms. The daughter of a guardian angel and a fallen one, she has a certain power over him, one that makes him wish for more than he could ever deserve.

Determined to save all the Neph from their dark lives as the influencers of sin, Anna joins forces with Kaidan to overcome the demons’ oppressive ways. In the light of her affections, Kaidan must undergo his toughest test of all, a battle of the heart.

Sensual and swoon worthy, this companion volume to the acclaimed Sweet Evil series from New York Times bestselling author Wendy Higgins, told from the perspective of the irresistibly sexy and mysterious Kaidan Rowe, gives readers revealing insights into his struggle, his intense connection to Anna, and most of all, the true emotions that drive him.

Author Note:
Sweet Temptation will encompass the entire trilogy in a condensed version, beginning with Kai's life before he met Anna, and taking readers through the epilogue of Sweet Reckoning. Sweet Temptation is a companion novel, not meant to be a stand alone story. It will definitely be a richer experience for those who have read the original trilogy.

Let me just summarize on why this series and particular book is a must-read.

Their love is undeniable. The attraction is there. The drama is there. The reality of fighting to be alive is there. The battle of evil and good is there and Anna is the walking contradiction of that. You just have to read these books and fall in love with the characters and completely fan-girl with me in the comments.

I rate this book a solid 5 out of 5 stars and I wish I could rate it more. I can't even rate it less even though I am upset that this is the end of The Sweet Trilogy.

Alright, I will blog you later, awesome book nerds and I cannot wait to review Forever with Yoou - Jennifer L. Armentrout and don't forget that you can get a signed copy from her. Just go to her Facebook page.

Secret - Brigid Kemmerer (Elemental Series #4)

Published Date: January 28, 2014
Genre: Fantasy/Romance/Young Adult

Synopsis: EARTH. FIRE. AIR. WATER.

Nick Merrick is stretched to breaking point. He's trying to keep his grades sky-high or he won't get in to college. He's trying to keep his brother's business afloat or the Merricks will be out on the street. He's trying to keep the secret of where he's going in the evenings from his twin brother Gabriel - or he fears he'll lose his family. And he's trying to keep his mind off the hot, self-assured dancer who is his 'girlfriend's' partner.

And then Quinn takes to hanging around his sworn enemy, and an Elemental Guide is counting the hours until he can try again to kill the Merrick brothers. Storms are brewing. On all sides.

SECRETS IN THE WIND. DANGER IN THE AIR.

All I could think while reading the book, even during the beginning was "What. The. Actual. Fuck." Yes, yes excuse my language but honestly though, I really liked this plot twist and it was equally heartbreaking at the same time. So now that [Quinn and Tyler] are now together, it was just mind blowing.

I always thought Tyler was a prick for always picking on the Merrick's especially little Chris but this book showed a completely different side to him that really made my eyes open...

Anyways, Adam and Nick, truly a genuine couple that I loved. Honestly, this book was a game-changer and if I had to choose my favorite couple so far throughout the entire series, it would be them. But then again, I may start liking Hannah and Michael's relationship as well.

This book was "Good. Great. Fine." and it truly shows the bashfulness that everyday people go through to try and impress their significant other. Nick is genuinely sweet and innocent when it came around to Adam and I loved how confident Adam made Nick. I think it was a great insight on how people truly felt when they were scared of telling the truth about who they truly are.

I am going to rate this book a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars because Kemmerer always seems to know how to make her readers fall in love with her books even more every single time that I read a new book in the series.

I hope to be reviewing Beautiful Darkness - Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl, City of Fallen Angels - Cassandra Clare, Forever with You - Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Sweet Temptation - Wendy Higgins. Alrighty, go ahead and read this book or series because I can promise that you won't be disappointed.

Blog you later, awesome book nerds.

Storm - Brigid Kemmerer (Elemental Series #1)

Published Date: April 24, 2012
Genre: Young Adult/Fantasy

Synopsis: Earth, Fire, Air, Water – they have more power than you dream.

Ever since her ex-boyfriend spread those lies about her, Becca Chandler is suddenly getting all the guys—all the ones she doesn't want. Then she saves Chris Merrick from a beating in the school parking lot. Chris is different. Way different: he can control water—just like his brothers can control fire, wind, and earth. They’re powerful. Dangerous. Marked for death.

And now that she knows the truth, so is Becca.

Secrets are hard to keep when your life’s at stake. When Hunter, the mysterious new kid around school, turns up with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, Becca thinks she can trust him. But then Hunter goes head-to-head with Chris, and Becca wonders who’s hiding the most dangerous truth of all.

The storm is coming . . .

I do have to say that this book was interesting. You have two main characters: Becca Chandler and Chris Merrick.

As if she has never had the attention from a guy before, she blushes at every single damn thing. Honestly, every other word I read was, she blushed at this and that. The Merrick brothers however hot and cold that they run, they are officially all on my book boyfriends list. The problem with book boyfriends is that they set up an unrealistic standard of being perfect to the guys you see every day in real life. If I could live my life in a book, I would most definitely choose that.

When the New Kid shows up and helps her out in an iffy and difficult situation, she falls hard for him. But not just him but the youngest Merrick brother, Chris. She flips back and forth because she cannot make a decision on who is the best for her.

The story-line was good, the main girl who was supposed to be a heroine, not so much. Boys kept coming to her rescue although, she did have her moments. I really wish this book could be a solid 5 out of 5 stars but at most I can rate it a solid 3.7 stars out of 5. The writing style was awkward and you had to re-read several parts to understand that Kemmerer was switching POV's but not the chapter.

Unchained - Jennifer L. Armentrout

"He kissed her so deeply that she thought her soul would burst into flames. He laid claim to her soul, just as he had already done to her heart." (J.L.A.)

That quote gets me every single time that I read this book. I mean, COME ON. Who wouldn't want a guy or girl that does this to you every single time?

Julian... You're moving onto my book boyfriends list. Stalk me anytime, fallen angel. I mean, at the end when that plot twist... Well it wasn't even just one plot twist. Although, Julian was and always will be the sweetest fallen angel that I have ever read about.

"Those words touches a part of her, one that was tender and vulnerable." (J.L.A.)
Published Date (e-book only): September 17, 2013
Genre: Young Adult/Romance/Fantasy

Synopsis: Between the pissed off creatures that want demon-hunter Lily Marks dead and the fallen angel who just...wants her, Lily is about ready to trade in forever for a comfy job in a cubicle farm.

The fact that she and Julian are civil to one another is enough to have her thrown out of the Sanctuary, but she can't shake her not-so-angelic stalker or how he brings her dangerously close to ecstasy.

Her forbidden relationship with Julian provides the perfect fuel for suspicion when a traitor is discovered to be working within the Sanctuary. Lily quickly finds herself hunted by well, everyone.

Her only hope is to discover the real traitor before she loses everything--and she'll need Julian's help. That is, if Julian is really there to help her...and not destroy her.

Yeah, being a Nephilim isn't everything it's cracked up to be.

I rate this book a 3.7 out of 5 stars. I am a huge sucker for romance and this is one of the very few books that I consider true romance. The fallen angel who was portrayed as the antagonist truly never was one because I mean, the plot twist. But you will just have to read this in order to know what I am talking about.

I will be back with Rebels: City of Indra - Kendall/Kylie Jenner and Maya Sloan and one more announcement:

In just a couple more days and a month, Forever with You - Jennifer L. Armentrout will be released on September 29, 2015. Do keep an eye out for it!

To-Be Published Date: September 29, 2015 (Subjected to change)
