Release Date: Sweet Temptation - Wendy Higgins (The Sweet Trilogy #4)

Oh what a beautiful day! Sweet Temptation has been born and it is out and about and I am spinning around, frolicking with it in the bookstore and in my home because I can just imagine his beautiful British accent and how he is tortured on the inside. (I have learned from bookstores that they may carry new and unpublished books before the release date and you just have to ask them)

Throughout my breaks in class, I have pulled out the book and just read and read. Ugh. I cannot get enough of Kai and his process of working through his emotions.

I just about lost it in class when Higgins used 'purple-nurple' in the book.

When Kaidan meets Anna, it is completely unexpected because he's never wanted anything in his life until her.
Published Date: September 8, 2015
Genre: Fantasy/Young Adult/Romance

Synopsis: Bad boy Kaidan Rowe has never wanted for anything—money, popularity, musical talent…hot girls—but seducing them is part of his duty as a Nephilim, slave to the demon Dukes. As the son of the Duke of Lust, Kaidan has learned his father’s ways, becoming a master of passion, a manipulator of chemistry. Disobeying his father would mean certain death. Thankfully for Kaidan, he’s good at his job. And he enjoys it.

Until he meets Anna Whitt—sweet, smart, feisty, and inexplicably good—the one girl seemingly immune to his charms. The daughter of a guardian angel and a fallen one, she has a certain power over him, one that makes him wish for more than he could ever deserve.

Determined to save all the Neph from their dark lives as the influencers of sin, Anna joins forces with Kaidan to overcome the demons’ oppressive ways. In the light of her affections, Kaidan must undergo his toughest test of all, a battle of the heart.

Sensual and swoon worthy, this companion volume to the acclaimed Sweet Evil series from New York Times bestselling author Wendy Higgins, told from the perspective of the irresistibly sexy and mysterious Kaidan Rowe, gives readers revealing insights into his struggle, his intense connection to Anna, and most of all, the true emotions that drive him.

Author Note:
Sweet Temptation will encompass the entire trilogy in a condensed version, beginning with Kai's life before he met Anna, and taking readers through the epilogue of Sweet Reckoning. Sweet Temptation is a companion novel, not meant to be a stand alone story. It will definitely be a richer experience for those who have read the original trilogy.

Let me just summarize on why this series and particular book is a must-read.

Their love is undeniable. The attraction is there. The drama is there. The reality of fighting to be alive is there. The battle of evil and good is there and Anna is the walking contradiction of that. You just have to read these books and fall in love with the characters and completely fan-girl with me in the comments.

I rate this book a solid 5 out of 5 stars and I wish I could rate it more. I can't even rate it less even though I am upset that this is the end of The Sweet Trilogy.

Alright, I will blog you later, awesome book nerds and I cannot wait to review Forever with Yoou - Jennifer L. Armentrout and don't forget that you can get a signed copy from her. Just go to her Facebook page.

I told everyone on my Facebook page that I found Sweet Temptation - Wendy Higgins before the release date and I am reading it right now as I am typing this up. May I just say that I am giggling like a little school girl because I am imagining Klaus's (from The Vampire Diaries) voice, his English accent, narrating this to me?

Oh, Kai is definitely moving past guys on my book boyfriends list and up, up, away.

The Accident Season - Moira Fowley-Doyle

I am sorry for neglecting you all. Happy Labor Day weekend and I hope that everyone is taking advantage of the sales that are going on. I am here now and I am ready to review... Not really...

Published Date: August 18, 2015
Genre: Paranormal/Young Adult
Synopsis:  It's the accident season, the same time every year. Bones break, skin tears, bruises bloom.

The accident season has been part of seventeen-year-old Cara's life for as long as she can remember. Towards the end of October, foreshadowed by the deaths of many relatives before them, Cara's family becomes inexplicably accident-prone. They banish knives to locked drawers, cover sharp table edges with padding, switch off electrical items - but injuries follow wherever they go, and the accident season becomes an ever-growing obsession and fear.

But why are they so cursed? And how can they break free?

I was really excited for this book. It was new. It was different and it seemed intriguing. But right now, I am only on the fourth chapter and I am just not loving it right now but I told myself that I am going to power through it and I did so I pat myself on the back for it.

From what I got already from the book is: Yes we understand that you are seeing someone in ALL of your photos. I understand that your mother is having a slightly mental breakdown because she cannot handle the accident season. We understand that even if he is your step-brother, you both feel incest-feelings for each other.

I mean, overall, it was an interesting book. Something new and different but it wasn't my style of my favorite books and although I struggled through it, skimming a few pages (YES, I am the worst reviewer in the world!) I can honestly rate this a solid 3 out of 5 stars. I would not read this book again but it was alright.

I don't have a lot to say about this book because I am honestly just kind of weirded out by it... A strange story, indeed. But the plot twist at the end was what got me.

Anyways, I will blog you later tonight hopefully with Sweet Temptation - Wendy Higgins because I found it in my bookstore and I will be going there again to see if they have another book that has not been published just yet.

Secret - Brigid Kemmerer (Elemental Series #4)

Published Date: January 28, 2014
Genre: Fantasy/Romance/Young Adult

Synopsis: EARTH. FIRE. AIR. WATER.

Nick Merrick is stretched to breaking point. He's trying to keep his grades sky-high or he won't get in to college. He's trying to keep his brother's business afloat or the Merricks will be out on the street. He's trying to keep the secret of where he's going in the evenings from his twin brother Gabriel - or he fears he'll lose his family. And he's trying to keep his mind off the hot, self-assured dancer who is his 'girlfriend's' partner.

And then Quinn takes to hanging around his sworn enemy, and an Elemental Guide is counting the hours until he can try again to kill the Merrick brothers. Storms are brewing. On all sides.

SECRETS IN THE WIND. DANGER IN THE AIR.

All I could think while reading the book, even during the beginning was "What. The. Actual. Fuck." Yes, yes excuse my language but honestly though, I really liked this plot twist and it was equally heartbreaking at the same time. So now that [Quinn and Tyler] are now together, it was just mind blowing.

I always thought Tyler was a prick for always picking on the Merrick's especially little Chris but this book showed a completely different side to him that really made my eyes open...

Anyways, Adam and Nick, truly a genuine couple that I loved. Honestly, this book was a game-changer and if I had to choose my favorite couple so far throughout the entire series, it would be them. But then again, I may start liking Hannah and Michael's relationship as well.

This book was "Good. Great. Fine." and it truly shows the bashfulness that everyday people go through to try and impress their significant other. Nick is genuinely sweet and innocent when it came around to Adam and I loved how confident Adam made Nick. I think it was a great insight on how people truly felt when they were scared of telling the truth about who they truly are.

I am going to rate this book a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars because Kemmerer always seems to know how to make her readers fall in love with her books even more every single time that I read a new book in the series.

I hope to be reviewing Beautiful Darkness - Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl, City of Fallen Angels - Cassandra Clare, Forever with You - Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Sweet Temptation - Wendy Higgins. Alrighty, go ahead and read this book or series because I can promise that you won't be disappointed.

Blog you later, awesome book nerds.
