The Visit (Movie Review)

Synopsis: 

Becca (Olivia DeJonge) and younger brother Tyler (Ed Oxenbould) say goodbye to their mother as they board a train and head deep into Pennsylvania farm country to meet their maternal grandparents for the first time. Welcomed by Nana (Deanna Dunagan) and Pop Pop (Peter McRobbie), all seems well until the siblings start to notice increasingly strange behavior from the seemingly charming couple. Once the children discover a shocking secret, they begin to wonder if they'll ever make it home.

No spoiling the newest thriller that has hit theaters. Whenever I see my grandmother now, I am inching away slowly. Honestly, I thought this movie was just another Hansel & Gretel movie because of the whole oven scene shown in the commercials and allowing them to eat as much as they wanted but it just had less candy houses and more video camera action. Near the end, you could tell something good was still going to come out of it but this movie made me cringing or flinching at every turn.

I wish that I could tell you my favorite part within it but all I will say is that it includes cookies, nightfall, and Yahtzee, the board game. Oh and of course Nana.

I give much praise to the cast of The Visit for actually giving me the heebie jeebies as I was walking to my car late at night. I would have reviewed this movie right after I got home but I kind of just fell asleep... Things never seem to go the way that I want them too.

Anyways, I rate this movie a good 3.5 stars out of 5 and I am also glad about the fact that it was not crazy expensive but I don't think that I could watch this movie. it was not necessarily a monstrosity but there were moments in the movie that had you questioning it. I do love good jump scares though.

Oh wow, this book is hot, hot, hot. It is sexy, hilarious, crass, and yet beautifully put together. This New Adult has been released today and I am drinking up this novel like no other. Fletcher is a dancer that speaks the language of music and girls. Only one problem though, he loves his one night stands but once he lays eyes on Tiffany, he is drawn to getting to know her both clothed and undressed.

I am loving this book. It's funny. It's heartbreaking. It's erotically romantic. It's hot. It is literally Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL all put into one novel that will have you jumping out of your seats and falling over the floor, drooling over Fletcher. He chases after the one girl that wants a serious relationship with one guy but had a one-night stand with him. He wants her. He just doesn't know how to show it other than turning her on and away towards the other guy. But he wants...No, is teaching her the art of sexy to help her get him. Will she be able to endure his lessons without falling for him?

Fletcher Novak acts like he is too cool for relationships and real-life like his job until he meets Tiffany Preston, his boss's boss's daughter. Yeah, that elite girl. Oh and her best friend? Totally adorable when it comes to trying to secretly get them together. 

Although I am only on chapter 16, I can pretty much tell into the future and rate this book a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I am only knocking one star off because it's packed into so much when she could have made a series out of it. I love J.A. Huss, nonetheless.

I am currently also working on City Love - Susane Colasanti and The Voice of Gods - Eleanor Herman. So far, I am indifferent on both of the books... Let's see how the ends turn out.
