Synopsis:

It’s all fun and parties until someone falls in love in this modern fairy tale from author Kate Evangelista.
Caleb desperately needs a fake girlfriend. Either he attends a series of parties for his father’s law firm with a pretty girl on his arm, or he gets shipped off to Yale to start a future he’s not ready for and isn’t sure he wants. And sadly, the last unattached girl in his social circle has just made the grievous mistake of falling in love with him. Fortunately, Didi, recently fired waitress and aspiring painter, is open to new experiences. As the summer ticks by in a whirl of lavish parties, there’s only one rule: They must not fall in love!

Review: Wow. This book blew my mind away. I know I have been saying that for a while but this book was ultimately a tragic love story and I loved every single moment of it.

Now let's talk about why.

When you think of a love story, you probably think of the classic rich boy meets poor girl. Eyes meet. They date. They eventually fall in love with no intention too. Then there is a rift between the characters. Eventually, an HEA is in place. You can't have a love story without an HEA, right?

Right.

Now personally, that is exactly what happened. However, it worked because of tragic the story was. The death and the uncharacteristic characters. I mean, I definitely was not expecting what happened within these pages... Well I expected some. But not all.

It kind of reminded me of Dixon and Silver's relationship from 90210 but that is just because I like comparing things as soon as I read or see them. My gears are constantly working. Just kidding.

I space out a lot and it is a shocker that I am keeping up with this.

Back to the book, I devoured it in two days. Granted, it wasn't as long as I was expecting but the fact that it was enjoyable made it go by that much faster. I would definitely recommend this book.

So I will rate this a good 4 out of 5 stars.

Blog you later, awesome book nerds.
